VDC Spring Dance Showcase featuring Ordnung, the Amish Ballet

Come experience a new and original work entitled, “Ordnung, the Amish Ballet” by Joan E. Van Dyke in collaboration with licensed psychologist, Tina Lewis and sociologist, Christan Veccaro and award-wining film director Jerry Waltman along with guest dancers Brian Murphy and Trevor Runco. The ballet is set to pop music from 1972 and 1982. In addition, our younger ballet student’s recital, “Water Music,” is inspired by classical musician Handel’s Water Music. You’ll also enjoy a collection of modern, jazz, and tap choreography.

** Please be aware of the following when purchasing tickets: Due to the length of the show, Ms. Van Dyke is splitting the dance showcase & ballet recital as follows:

Friday Evening at 7:00 PM - Dance Showcase featuring Tap, Jazz, & Modern dancers & “Ordnung, the Amish Ballet” (Beg. III Ballet & above). Friday’s performance will not include the ballet recital “Water Music” with Kinderdance through Beg. II Ballet students.

Saturday Matinee at 2:00 PM - Ballet Recital featuring “Water Music” (Kinderdance through Beginners II Ballet) & ‘Ordnung, the Amish Ballet” (Beg. III Ballet & above). Saturday’s performance will not include the dance showcase of tap, jazz, & modern pieces.
